I am very happy today to share a very rare picture of a spotted quoll in NSW.
These species are nocturnal carnivores and get about at night to hunt for things to eat. They are known to eat anything they can find that moves, including birds. To farmers these pose a risk to some of their animals because they will eat a free-range chicken if they get the chance. In some areas, they are known as tiger quolls for that reason.
Overall, this is the first time I have acquired a clear photograph of such a rare animal in Australia.
