One of the last things I expected to see was a wild mule in this region.
Driving along I spoted the animal on the side of the road. With wildlife, spotting these things early is a key. Slowing down and then slowly passing by not to spook the animal. I wound down the passenger window and took the photograph from inside the Land-Rover.
I am not that familiar with the story of these animals in the regoin, but I can now say that I have definitly seend the wild introduced species of mules up here on the Sahvanah Way. Over the years many working animals have been imported to farms in Australia. I am also just as likely to find a wild camel out here.
