The Mulga Parrot, has the Latin name of the parrot with many varieties of colours. Truth be told they are very correct in this definition.
These birds by a matter of deduction have been incredibly hard to find. Comically in South Australia, they are in fact a very common sight. I had to work quite hard to get this photograph today just to say I have found one. Key features include the red spots on the wings, green overall appearance and blue tail. However, they do vary widely and this is considered a fairly common pattern.
The photograph is hardly perfect in any way, however, it does show a bird that I have been looking for for quite some time.
