Travelling across the open plains up here kites are allways flying around.
By climbing the mountains and waiting on the sides of them, I was able to take this high key black and white picture of a whistling kite.
What I like most about it, is that it is the sharpest picture to date I have in my collection. It would seem that colour photography distracts the details of these large birds.
As I travel north these will be plenty more encounters. I wonder if I will see these large birds again? However, there will be plenty of new species to photograph on my travels north.
