Sitting Up High - A Wedge-Tailed Eagle

Sitting in the steep slopes of the surrounding ranges, a Wedge-Tailed Eagle is sitting on a fallen boulder.

Some may be surprised that these birds are quite hard to find out here, and they camouflage well into the backdrop of rusty reds, and blacks.

Even from a distance, the large beak can be seen.

Yes, the beak is seen, and the legs, and his typical head. Even from afar it is clear that it's a large bird.
