Australian Budgies - Melopsittacus undulatus

One of Australia's favourite birds is the Budgie.

For some time now I have been trying to photograph the birds in the afternoon light of the gum trees. Seen below, we can see why there have deep greens and yellows through their feathers. As if to disappear into the gum trees with the same colours.

These parakeets are intelligent and cheeky, behind all the noise and hyperactivity they are known for. They can sing songs, remember people, and also be very affectionate. Making them a worldwide favourite pet.
