Princess Parrots - Polytelis alexandrae

Below we have a well-presented photograph of some Princess Parrotts waking up in the early morning sun. Some are still fast asleep, One is just waking up, and the other looks like he was awake for some time.

In the even light, we can clearly see the colours of the parrot. Not to mention the really long tails that you don't often get to see. This includes the pale pink, and more subtle colours that the parrots are known for. As well as their powerful green colours on their wings.

My favourite thing about the photo below is that the cascading sunlight forms gold highlights through the background. This adds a lot of complexity to a rather simple photograph. Making it one of my favourites.
