Whistling Kite - Haliastur sphenurus

Out here you can't go very long without encountering a Kite. I have learned one of the best ways to get a good photograph is to have a camera on you at all times. Because you never know when you are going to find one.

Below the Kite is flying through the sunlight in the early afternoon, as it gains height and starts to circle. Having pale feathers, and an interesting pattern of stripes on its underside. This is making for a very interesting photograph, to be added to the collection.
