Flying foxes are a species of bat in Australia. A few weeks ago these were falling from the sky because of the heat. Now the temperature is stable and they are back to their happy and healthy condition. These bats are a large part of the culture on the central coast, and it was nice to come across a small group of them in the trees surrounding the family home. Our family enjoys their company and they are usually welcome to eat the mulberries at the back of the property.
