Australian Galah

This weekend I am moving to a more permanent home in Alice Springs - In the meantime, I am saying a fond farewell to the neighbouring wildlife that has come to visit at my temporary home in the Macdonald Ranges. The Galah is one of Australias more vocal Animals. Unlike the Raptors from the week just past, these birds are peaceful and are very friendly. They mainly eat seeds, grasses, and nuts. They make really good pets, but I like how they visit my home every day without a cage. They can talk and their favourite hobby is mimicking the landline telephone noise. Having fun watching you walk through the house, only to pick up a phone with nobody on the other end. They are a lot of fun and they have big personalities.
